Start the day with a proper fry up
Full English breakfasts and a good coffee to go with them. We open at 9 in the week and at 7:30 on Fridays and Saturdays, so you can fuel up before work or a big shop.

Tammy took over Proper Ansome in spring 2025. It's a warm, friendly spot for a catch-up over breakfast or lunch, with home cooked food at fair prices, all served with a smile.

“Popped in for lunch on the way to do a big shop, first time here and it's definitely a hidden gem! Tucked at the back of an industrial/retail park, adjoining Maunder's farm shop, you could easily miss it. Cod, chips and peas was freshly cooked and served piping hot with the fish flaking beautifully underneath the crisp batter. Apparently the homemade meat and potato pie, served with roast baby potatoes and veg was delicious too. Prices were very reasonable, and the service was attentive and friendly.”
